Straight answers on what a site costs, how long it takes, who owns it, and what happens after launch.
What it costs
How much does a website cost?
Most of our builds land between $1,500 and $5,000 depending on scope. A straightforward site for a local business sits at the lower end; custom features like quote forms, galleries, or booking push it up. We quote a flat number before we start, so there are no surprises mid-project.
What’s included in a monthly plan?
Hosting, security, updates, and ongoing improvements to keep the site fast and ranking well. Plans start at $100/month, and we’ll tell you honestly what your business actually needs rather than pushing the biggest package.
How it works
How long does a build take?
Most sites launch within 2-4 weeks of kickoff. The biggest variable is usually content: photos, service details, and approvals on your end. We’ll give you a realistic timeline up front and keep you posted as we go.
What happens after launch?
Launch is the starting line, not the finish. Most clients stay on a monthly plan that covers hosting, updates, and ongoing improvements like SEO and automation. If you’d rather take the site and run, that’s fine too.
Can you fix my existing site?
We don’t usually patch old sites. In most cases it’s cheaper and better to rebuild it on our stack: we port your content over, keep what works, and you end up with a faster, cleaner site instead of a repaired old one. We’ll look at what you have and give you an honest recommendation either way.
What you get
Do I own my website?
Yes. We typically register the domain on our end just to keep setup simple, but the site and everything on it belongs to you. If we ever part ways, the domain, the code, and the content all transfer to you cleanly, no questions asked.
Why not just use Wix or Squarespace?
Template builders carry a lot of bloated code under the hood, which means slower load times and weaker Google performance. They also limit how much you can actually optimize: page speed, structured data, and the technical details Google rewards are largely out of your hands. We build custom-coded sites that score near-perfect on Google’s own performance tests and give us full control over everything that affects ranking. Faster site, better SEO, no platform ceiling.
Do you work outside the St. Croix Valley?
Our home base is the St. Croix Valley and the Twin Cities metro, and most of our clients are here. That said, nothing we do requires being in the same room. If you’re further out and the fit is right, we’re open to it.

Ask it. Tell us what you’re trying to fix and you’ll get the same kind of answer you just read — a real number, a real timeline, and what we’d actually recommend.
